Privacy Policy
Effective August 4, 2026. V-Drama has no accounts and no sign-up — we never ask for your name, email address or any other identity. This page explains the little we do collect and why.
What we collect ourselves
V-Drama runs its own lightweight, first-party analytics. When you use the site we record events such as which pages were viewed, whether playback started, and which ad slots were requested. Each event carries: a random session identifier, a truncated one-way hash of your IP address (the address itself is not stored in analytics), your device class (mobile/desktop), browser language, and the page involved. We use this to understand which series people watch, to detect broken sources, and to measure how the site performs. We do not use it to build individual profiles, and we do not sell it.
Like almost every website, our servers and our hosting/CDN providers also keep standard technical logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and debugging. These are retained for a limited period and then rotated away.
Accounts (optional)
You can create a free account so your “continue watching” list follows you across devices. Accounts are entirely optional — everything on the site works without one. If you create one, we store: your email address, a salted one-way hash of your password (we cannot see the password itself), the date the account was created and last signed in, and the watching-progress list the account exists to sync. We use this data only to operate your account. We do not send marketing email, and we never sell or share account data. There are no paid features — accounts are free and always will be. To delete your account and its data, write to contact@vdrama.fans from the account’s email address and we will remove it.
Cookies and local storage
We set a small number of first-party cookies and browser-storage keys, all functional:
vd_lang— remembers the language you picked, so the homepage greets you in it.vd_app— remembers the last platform section you browsed.vd_auth— only if you sign in: keeps you signed in to your account (HttpOnly; scripts on the page cannot read it).- Local/session storage — playback position (“continue watching”), the analytics session identifier, and ad frequency caps that limit how often certain ads can appear.
None of these are required; blocking them breaks nothing except the conveniences they provide.
Advertising
V-Drama is a free service. Advertising may be added in the future; this page will be updated accordingly.
Video delivery
The series you watch are streamed from the source platforms' video servers (in some cases relayed through ours). When video is fetched directly from a source platform's servers, that platform's infrastructure necessarily sees your IP address, as with any content delivery network.
Your choices and rights
- You can clear or block our cookies and storage at any time in your browser; the site keeps working.
- You can use an ad blocker; the content itself is not gated on ads.
- Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/EEA, UK, or other jurisdictions with data-protection laws), you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal data. For visitors without an account this usually concerns server logs; for account holders it also covers the account data described above, including full deletion. Write to contact@vdrama.fans and we will handle it.
Children
The site is intended for a general audience and not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has created an account, write to contact@vdrama.fans and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the new version will appear at this address with an updated effective date.
